Former President of GM North America Resigns

After more than 20 years with the company, Marissa West has decided to leave her role as president of GM North America.

West was appointed to the position in January 2024, after serving as senior vice president and president of GM North America since September 2020. During her tenure, she oversaw the launch of several new vehicles, including the GMC Hummer EV and the Chevrolet Silverado EV. She also played a key role in the company's transition to electric vehicles.

West's departure is part of a broader shakeup at GM, which has seen the company announce a number of senior executive changes in recent weeks. The company has not yet announced a replacement for West.
